Storyline:
A semi-retired couple who work for a clandestine monster hunting agency discover dark family secrets and the truth about their employer after their magically inclined nigh adult kids reawaken a witch bent on revenge.
REVIEW: So, what would happen if the world of Supernatural came to life via fanfiction? You would get the premise of this teenage angst series masquerading as a scifi/horror show. The only difference being that Sam and Dean are portrayed as over-privledged, whiny, gay teenage twins, whose parents are alive and still monster slaying, and the men of letters is a sinister organization called the Presidio with a global reach. Now sprinkle in an attempt at that Buffy quirkiness that is inherent in most dark teen dramas nowadays and you would get this subpar new netflix series.
Poor acting, sub par writing, and questionable choices for casting all but assure that netflix will produce 2 more seasons of this drivel. And even though I find it tolerable for writer/ directors to add social commentator in their work, there is zero subtlety in the way you are repeatedly clubbed over the head with it in this show.
