Storyline:
During World War I, two British officers – Lance Cpl. Schofield and Lance Cpl. Blake – get apparently incomprehensible orders. Considering this, in the midst of the abhorrences of an uncannily quiet dead zone, the youthful faithful comrades should cross nine long miles of unfriendly adversary territory in the French open country, to arrive at the second Devons on schedule and cancel the approaching assault. Presently, two normal troopers stroll into unavoidable demise. What makes a genuine saint?
